Who we are
Betaren Tanzania is the official agent of Schelkovo Agrohim in the United Republic of Tanzania. We supply the manufacturer's certified seeds, plant protection products and agrochemicals, and we back every sale with agronomic support on the ground.
Our focus is simple: crops that matter to Tanzanian farms. Sunflower leads, with maize, soybean, sorghum, canola and wheat alongside it. Every hybrid we offer is tested on our own demonstration plots before it reaches your field.
The manufacturer behind us
Schelkovo Agrohim
Not a trading house. A manufacturer with its own research institute roots, breeding programs and formulation science.
- 1998
Schelkovo Agrohim is founded on the basis of a leading plant-protection research institute outside Moscow.
- 2000s
The company grows into one of the largest crop protection manufacturers in its region, with its own R&D centre and formulation platform.
- 2010s
A full seed breeding program takes shape: sunflower, sugar beet, soybean and cereals, alongside more than 160 product brands.
- Today
Products and hybrids work across millions of hectares in more than a dozen countries, supported by regional agents like Betaren Tanzania.
How we work
Buying inputs is easy. Getting a harvest from them is the hard part. Our technical team pairs experienced agronomists with local field officers, and follows your crop from variety selection through fertilization, protection and harvest.
